SUMMARY:Webinar: The Impact of Automation and Robotics on SMEs
DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Dr Sue Keay\nOrganisation: ARC Centre of Excellence for Robotic Vision \nAustralian businesses are not adopting automation and robotics at the same rate as our global competitors. Yet conversely Australia leads the world in many innovations in this space. There is a gap in the integration space in Australia – at the point at which companies decide to automate they often struggle to find the support required to make a successful change. \nIn this webinar\, Dr Sue Keay\, Chief Operating Officer of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Robotic Vision\, will go through many of the findings from the Robotics Roadmap for\nAustralia\, due to be launched on 18th June\, about the current state of robotics in Australia and where these technologies are heading. \nFind out the potential economic impact on businesses in Queensland\, as well as what skill development will be required to ensure your business takes advantage of the new technologies coming. \nAbout the Presenter \nRecognised as Superstar of STEM by Science & Technology Australia\, Sue is a trained scientist with highly developed business skills\, who runs the world’s first robotic vision research centre. The Australian Centre for Robotic Vision\, headquartered at QUT\, has more than 200 researchers distributed across Australian and overseas research institutions. Sue has been working across sectors to develop Australia’s first Robotics Roadmap highlighting how advances in robotics will impact on every sector of the Australian economy. \nMissed a webinar?
