SUMMARY:Webinar: The Future of Innovation is Social
DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Sandy Blackburn-Wright\nOrganisation: Social Outcomes \nDoes your business have the potential for positive social impact? While plenty of startups are looking at solving problems faced by consumers or businesses\, there’s a growing movement of entrepreneurs solving large scale problems that society is facing at national and global levels. \nBeyond the efforts of charities and philanthropic endeavour\, partnerships are powering along between organisations with expertise in social change\, engineering\, technology\, logistics\, finance\, gender\, health\, etc. This is a new form of private public partnership (PPP)\, and the solutions are finding homes in an enterprise model with commercial drivers. \nIn this webinar\, Sandy Blackburn-Wright\, Managing Director at Social Outcomes\, will explain why the size of your enterprise doesn’t matter when it comes to including social innovation principles in your business model. Tune in to learn about creating a positive impact while capturing new opportunities to grow and fund your business. \nAbout the Presenter \nSandy spent 15 years working in South Africa\, pre and post Apartheid\, working on transformational change. She worked in such areas as community and leadership development\, education\, domestic energy\, gender and enterprise development. Since returning to Australia in 2003\, she spent 10 years in corporate Australia working at PwC and Westpac\, including such roles as Head of Learning and Culture and Head of Social Innovation. Since leaving Westpac\, she co-founded Impact Investing Australia\, an NFP designed to grow the impact investment market here in Australia\, and then founded Social Outcomes\, a for purpose enterprise that focuses on social and financial innovation to increase the impact that organisations can deliver. Sandy serves on the Australian Advisory Board for the Global Steering Group on Impact Investing\, the Advisory Board of QUT’s Centre for NFP and Philanthropic Studies and is a Fellow at Griffith University’s Centre for Sustainable Enterprise. \nMissed a webinar?
