TOPIC
Australia as a country is not very good at industry-research collaborations, ranking just behind Mexico in the 2013 OECD Science, Technology and Industry Scoreboard.
Undertaking research can be a costly, risky and daunting exercise for SMEs and large companies. Participating in a Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) vastly reduces the barriers to entry for companies to undertake research.
CRCs assemble multidisciplinary teams from across research providers to address end-user-driven research. They collaborate across all sectors (industry, academia, state government, consumers and industry associations) and create a critical mass in their field.
Participating has become even more accessible with the recent introduction of CRC-Ps, a new initiative to support short term, industry-led research.
In this Innovate Queensland GRID webinar, Dr Tony Peacock, Chief Executive of Australia’s Cooperative Research Centres Association, will explain how your organisation can benefit from participating in a CRC program.
