Webinar: Real-World Intrapreneurs
September 24, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am AEST
Free
Presenter: Yas Grigaliunas
Organisation: The World’s Biggest Garage Sale
According to Google, an Intrapreneur is “A person within a large corporation who takes direct responsibility for turning an idea into a profitable finished product through assertive risk-taking and innovation”. So what does it mean to be an SME Intrapreneur and how do you even do it?
Yas Grigaliunas, CEO & Co-Founder of the World’s Biggest Garage Sale, was an intrapreneur long before it was even a thing. It was in 1998 that she started her career in a Queensland owned and operated SME, where for 13 years Yas took direct responsibility for turning an idea into a profitable new business unit, which grew to be one of the largest departments across the company.
In this webinar, Yas will share her triumphs and provide advice on how to avoid the traps from a real-life journey of being an SME Intrapreneur before it appeared in a Google search.
About the Presenter
Those who know Yas describe her with words such as positive, passionate, energising, hard-working, goal oriented, relentless, assertive and generous. Yas believes in work-life blend not work-life balance, having recently travelled around Australia in a caravan for almost 600 days with her family, all while working full-time and fully-flexibly for her employer. Anything is possible! If you don’t believe it, just spend 30 mins with Yas.
