Understanding how to create value—to make money—from your idea can be hard when you’re a small team that’s bootstrapping a start-up or wanting to develop a new technology while keeping your current business on track.

This webinar considers different options for designing a business model. Maree will draw on her extensive business background to explain the principles of strategic business modelling and how they help to determine the best pathways to profitability for various types of enterprises and new ideas. She will also highlight how common business modelling tools have ensured success for well-known brands.

About the Presenter

Maree Franettovich is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Business and Law at CQ University, where she teaches undergraduate courses in Human Resources, Management, and Marketing.

Ensuring her teaching and research remain relevant and innovative, Maree maintains strong links with the business sector, primarily in her roles as a director and community engagement chair of Sarina Community Bank® Branch Bendigo Bank, director of Connect Housing Group, and director of Business Services Network Pty Ltd.

Maree has co-authored several research papers on the economic, social, and environmental impacts of mining, particularly in relation to small business in regional areas. Her professional memberships include the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Institute of Management and Leaders.
